MCC Students Train for Quality Careers with High Employer Demand

For over 35 years, MCC has helped more than 16,000 people achieve their personal and professional goals. For many, MCC programs are the first step toward realizing employment potential and beginning on a career path with real opportunity.

  • MCC programs connect local employer needs with qualified employees.
  • MCC programs prepare jobseekers for positions to meet current and growing demand.
  • MCC programs help low-wage workers maintain and upgrade their skills to advance their employment potential.

More than Skills Training

MCC knows that getting, keeping, and advancing in a career takes more than skills alone. MCC graduates succeed because our programs focus on developing jobseekers’ full potential.

All MCC programs combine both vocational and work-readiness skills training and are backed by the full support of caring MCC staff and community resources.

  • Student Support Services staff advise students, refer students to supportive services, and help students overcome potential work-related barriers BEFORE employment begins.
  • Employment Advisors assist students in securing jobs that match individual skills, backgrounds, and interests. Our goal is for students to find jobs that will establish paths for their future career growth.
  • We encourage graduate success with ongoing follow-up, including retention support, and career advising.

All MCC programs develop important workplace competencies that differentiate our graduates from many entry level workers. These competencies include: Critical Thinking, Conflict Resolution, Time Management, Communication, and Professionalism.

Customized Training

MCC is an expert in developing and delivering programs designed to help employers find quality hiring candidates for hard-to-fill openings. MCC has successfully partnered with banks, healthcare organizations, and medical reimbursements companies, often bringing public funding to the project. Employers, students, and funders all benefit from:

  • Targeted recruitment – Only training participants who can meet employer-specific hiring requirements are enrolled.
  • Employer-based curriculum – Job requirements drive curriculum design and delivery.
