Do you to go job interviews feeling unprepared
or unsure of how to answer difficult interview questions?
Are you unsure about how to find a job that will pay you enough to support you or you
your family?
Have difficulties or conflicts with others at work resulted in your leaving a job?
MCC can help!
What is STRIVE?
STRIVE is an intensive 4-week job-readiness
program for unemployed people who want to quickly find work. By attending STRIVE five days a
week, just as you will attend your job, you can take advantage of STRIVE's support team to
resolve issues with transportation, child-care and other life issues.
Designed to help you overcome barriers that have stood in the way, STRIVE offers workshops
to improve interviewing skills, resume development, workplace conflict resolution, and a
very basic introduction to computers and keyboarding.
Job Placement Assistance
STRIVE students have regular contact with
Employment Advisors who are working to identify job openings that fit with students' needs
and interests. You will be matched with job interviews throughout
STRIVE and can graduate
from the program as soon as you find employment if you receive a job offer before the end
of the four-week program.
If you're ready to go to work, STRIVE is ready to work with you to find a good job!
Tuition for STRIVE
Your commitment to succeed is what you
must bring to STRIVE.
Every STRIVE student receives a full grant to cover the cost of program in exchange for
their commitment to successfully complete the program and find employment with the help of
MCC's Employment Advisors.
