In order to work in any business, employees must demonstrate proficiency in computer use. MCC stresses that graduates of our Business Technology Program have superb skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Students receive six weeks of intensive skill development in these three important functions. Most students exceed the industry standard of typing 45 words per minute. They also are prepared for work through an immersion in our 4-week program called STRIVE. STRIVE helps them develop the interpersonal skills needed to work in a team setting, to handle stress, and to enter the corporate culture. They receive interviewing skills, resume preparation, communication coaching and overall personal and professional development. Students are eager and ready for work. Current employers include: Painted Bride, Greensgrow, CareersUSA, Girls, Inc, Hunger Coalition, CWT Imaging, Varallo, to name a few.
