Green Jobs
STRIVE for Green Program: 12 week basic job readiness and skills training program which includes training in basic construction, green building maintenance, OSHA safety, weatherization, green industry literacy. STRIVE is an internationally recognized job-readiness program designed to help individuals who have faced challenges in entering or re-entering the job market or retaining employment. MCC staff specialists provide assistance with job placement for program graduates.
Kinds of entry level positions students are able to apply for:
- Janitorial
- Basic construction
- Energy auditors
- Building maintenance
- Production worker
- Crew member
Entrance requirements:
- Special Programs for Women of all neighborhoods
- Reside in West, North, Bridesburg, Kensington, and Richmond areas of Philadelphia
- Willingness to grow and learn
- Individual interview
